Cognitio

Cognitio is an app for parents who want to support their children's development: short assessments, a week with time to play and a studio for making things. It costs €6 a month per account, with 15 days free.

See where each child is. And leave time to play.

Cognitio has two spaces working from the same data: one for you, to see how each child is getting on, and one for them, to make things.

€6 a month or €60 a year, VAT included · per account

The problem

You know free play, sleep and screens all matter, but it's hard to see the week as a whole or know where to start with each child.

What about a homework app?

A homework app measures what's learnt at school. Cognitio looks at the whole picture: how the week is split, whether there's time to play, and how your child tackles a problem. And its tutor asks questions instead of doing the homework.

Cognitio assessments: six skills

1 · Get to know

Each child's starting point.

Short questionnaires on six skills, from executive function to thinking for themselves around AI, give you a useful picture in a few minutes.

  • A quick snapshot and deeper ones
  • What to work on first

2 · Organise

A week with room for everything, play included.

Split the week into five blocks: rest, school, free play, physical activity, and science and making. Cognitio lets you know when free play is running short.

  • The week's rhythm at a glance
  • Activities near home

3 · Make

A studio that asks questions instead of giving answers.

In the studio, each child plans, tries out and talks about their projects. When they're stuck, the tutor asks them questions rather than solving it for them.

  • Short challenges for when they don't know where to start
  • You decide their screen time

4 · Recognise

Effort gets seen, and celebrated.

Cognitio points are earned by trying ideas, sticking with it and looking out for others. The family decides the rewards: outings, materials and time together.

  • Rewards the family chooses
  • Finished projects, kept in their museum

Who it's for

  • You have school-age children.
  • You want to balance screens, play and physical activity.
  • You want your kids to use AI with good judgement.

Who it isn't for

  • You're looking for therapy or a diagnosis: if you're worried about your child's development, talk to their paediatrician.
  • You want tutoring or extra lessons.

What it's based on

The assessments are adapted from published frameworks: executive function from Harvard's Center on the Developing Child, growth mindset, computational thinking from the MIT Media Lab, UNESCO's AI competencies and the American Academy of Pediatrics' reports on play. They're a guide, not clinical tests.

How we work

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't diagnose or replace a paediatrician or psychologist.
  • The tutor doesn't do homework or hand out answers.
  • There are no ads.

Your data

It's stored on servers in the European Union. Only you can see it, with your account. We don't sell it or use it for advertising. You can download or delete it from your account.

Questions

Does each child need an account?

No. Children are profiles within the family account and go into the studio from your device.

Does it use AI?

Yes, for the tutor that asks questions when a child is stuck and for finding activities. The tutor makes them think: it doesn't give the answer or do the homework.

How much screen time is involved?

You decide: every studio session has a limit and, from a time you choose, it suggests a break. When it ends, it invites them to go and play away from the screen.

How does the free trial work?

15 days without paying and without a card. If you don't add one at the end, the trial simply closes. Your data stays in your account: if you subscribe later, you pick up where you left off, and you can download or delete it whenever you like. One trial per person and app.

Can I pay yearly?

Yes: €60 a year in one payment, instead of €6 a month. You choose when you subscribe.

Can I cancel whenever I want?

Yes, from your account. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Your data stays in case you come back, and you can download or delete it.

Are there suites with several apps?

Yes: Augmenta One and Augmenta Casa. With the same free trial, and yearly billing too.

Do I need an account for each app?

No. Your Augmenta account gets you into every app you have, with the same email, or with Google or Microsoft.
